Senior Olympic Games experts have been signed up to speak at the Decade of Sport Conference, running alongside Event UK on 21 September.
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games’ (LOCOG) senior operations manager, Neil Beard, VisitBritain’s head of 2012 Games Unit, Chris Foy, and the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) project director 2012, David Evans, are all part of the line-up at the event set up to highlight the business opportunities that will result from the Olympics coming to Britain in 2012.
Event UK’s (organiser of the event) director, Alison Willis, says: “The conference is a real opportunity for businesses to learn about the ways in which they can capitalise and benefit from the sporting legacy of the events coming to the UK in the near future.
“Event UK prides itself on providing a high level of educational content for visitors and we hope that the conference will communicate the opportunities that extend past the host cities and out to the regional areas,” she adds.
The event is taking place at NEC Birmingham.
