Aviation specialist and meeting organiser Route Development Group (RDG) will stay in Manchester after being acquired by United Business Media.
RDG, which is being bought by UBM for up to £9.3m from its private shareholders, produces events geared toward developing new air routes. It’s flagship event is Routes - The World Route Development Forum, the next edition of which will take place from 19 to 20 September in Vancouver, Canada.
RDG is made of three divisions - events business World Development Forum, consultancy Airport Strategy and aviation industry website routesonline.com. All three are based at the company’s headquarters on Portland Street in Manchester.
