Over 9,000 visitors attended this year’s Tattoo Jam convention at Doncaster Racecourse, with artists helping to set a new world record.
The event won a place in the Guinness Book of World Records when 223 tattoo artists lined up and tattooed simultaneously, beating the old record. Several skin art specialists attended the event including Paul Booth, Brandon Bond and Louis Molloy, the man behind David Beckham’s tattoos.
“This year’s Tattoo Jam has definitely been the best yet and to achieve this world record is a great accolade,” says event organiser, Shelley Curry. “Doncaster once again proved to be the perfect location for our event and we attracted some of the most sought after body art professionals to attend in 2010.”
“Tattoo Jam once again proved to be an excellent event for both Doncaster and Yorkshire, Events like this highlight our diversity in holding national and international events for every type of conference and event organiser,” says business tourism manager for Yorkshire South Tourism, Emma France.
