Sticky Wicket, the seven-a-side cricket competition for the events industry, has raised £21,000 for children’s charity The Lord’s Taverners.
The event, organised by a dedicated team of event industry professionals, attracted over 350 people when it took place 28 July at Regents Park, London.
The teams battling it out for the Sticky Wicket trophy this year included Aztec, Clarion Events, Early Action Group, Event Advantage Solutions, Excel London, Fresh RM, The NEC Birmingham, Ocean Media Group and UBM Live.
Organiser Mervyn Ramsay says: “The event is in its fourth year, and this year proved just as popular as others, which is fantastic. We raised £5,000 more this year too.
“Thanks to the support of the events industry, disadvantaged children will get a sporting chance.”
In a nail biting final between Ocean Media and Excel London, Excel won the trophy.
