Staffordshire-based theme park Alton Towers is to introduce ‘family friendly’ wings to its hotel after some families complained they were being kept awake by the moans of frisky visitors.
In the future, guests will be able to request a room in a designated quiet ‘family zone’ which will be separate from ‘adult only’ zones.
According to reports, one guest told hotel staff that one particular couple were screaming “louder than the screams coming from the theme park rides”.
"We want people to enjoy themselves in whichever way they choose. However we recognise that some activities are not so ’family friendly’, so we have decided to separate families to ensure that all our guests can fully enjoy their stay at our resort hotels," says sales and marketing director at the Alton Towers Resort, Morwenna Angove.
