Ten new members have joined the UK Meetings Industry Association during the month of July. Several of the ‘newbies’ will take their places in the MIA’s newly created Destination Group.
The association puts the growth in membership down to increased interest from the industry in the MIA’s AIM accreditation scheme and the Destinations Group.
MIA chief executive, Jane Evans, says: “We are definitely seeing a significant upturn in membership and membership enquiries, and we see this as a direct result of the new range of products that we have created for both venues and destinations, all of which are designed to deliver simple, practical and, most importantly, cost-effective, benefits and results.”
