UBM Live, UBM International Media merge

United Business Media (UBM), organiser of International Confex and Event UK, has announced the merging of two of its divisions, UBM Live and UBM International Media.
The newly-merged business, named UBM Live, will run 77 live exhibitions and conferences in 13 countries under the direction of Simon Foster, CEO of the former UBM International Media.
“The merger of UBM Live and UBM International Media will provide opportunities for growth to meet our strategic goals,” says Foster. “The creation of a unified UBM Live will retain the particular strengths that both divisions have built up to form an even stronger global team and business moving forward.”
Jane Risby-Rose, previously CEO for UBM Live, has been promoted to the newly-created role of chief advisory officer at UBM Events Worldwide and chairman of UBM’s Global Events Momentum forum.
“Jane’s appointment signals UBM’s commitment to developing our events businesses globally through organic development and acquisition,” said CE for UBM Group, David Levin. “The inaugural meeting of our Global Events Momentum forum, chaired by Jane, brought together the leaders of our events businesses to share expertise and best practises, and we are committed to developing this forum over the coming year.”
