CHI Hotels and Resorts appoints new CEO

Marco Nijhof has joined CHI Hotels and Resorts (CHI), a multi-brand hotel group, as CEO.
Nijhof joins CHI from the Kuwaiti Commercial Real Estate Center Company, where he was senior VP with responsibility for the management of the company’s five-star luxury hotel investments. Prior to that, Nijhof was the Dubai-based senior VP of the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia for Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts.
“Nijhof joins CHI at an exciting time, when we are aexpanding our hotel operations across all our brands, both in our traditional European markets as also in key emerging destinations, especially in Africa and the Middle East,” says CHI’s former CEO and MD Tony Potter.
Based in Malta, CHI Hotels and Resorts manages the hotel brands Corinthia, Wyndham and Ramada Plaza in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
