Brighton is to fully unveil the Fulton Building this summer, a £10m environmentally sound event venue.
As part of the University of Sussex campus, the building can offer 3,000sqm of space across three floors, including two 160-seat lecture theatres and 26 seminar rooms. It was designed with natural ventilation and a grass courtyard instead of a car park to lower its carbon footprint.
Convention bureau sales manager at VisitBrighton, Darren Johnson, says: “The Fulton Building represents just one of many city-wide initiatives and investments designed to enhance our destination product and embody our city’s green stance.”
The first event to use the Fulton Building was the 7th biennial International Auto/Biography Association Conference, which took place on the 28 June. The four day event was attended by more than 350 international delegates.
