Membership organisation Unique Venues of London claims its website fared better than ever in 2009.
According to the 69-member group of unique and specialist London venues, its site saw a 24 per cent increase in unique visitors compared with 2008, and a 130 per cent increase compared to 2007, the site’s first year.
While the UVL website is most popular with users in the UK, 2009 saw the site’s first hits from Israel, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
Chairman of UVL Lisa Hatswell says: “As demand for out-of-the-ordinary venues grows, so does the popularity of the UVL website.”
