Clydesdale Bank backs Eastwood Park venue development
Gloucestershire conference and training venue Eastwood Park, has secured bank funding to develop its training and meetings business.
A 15-year deal with Clydesdale Bank will enable the Falfield venue, which is set in a country house and 200-acre estate, to expand its meetings business.
Despite the recession, privately owned Eastwood Park reports increasing demand for its healthcare, engineering and facilities management training, as well as for its wedding reception facilities.
The new investment in the conference facilities at the former NHS training centre will include a replicated hospital operating theatre, refurbishment in the mansion house and of the meeting and bedroom facilities.
Eastwood Park chief executive John Thatcher, says: “The key to our success has been investing in our facilities to meet the demands of all three sectors within which we operate.”
Senior partner at Clydesdale Bank in Bristol, Steve White, says the financing deal “demonstrates the bank’s continuing commitment to help good local organisations navigate today’s challenging economic climate. We have been impressed with the company’s commitment to delivering excellent products and service.”
