Meeting Professionals International to deliver training content for MCI
Global association event and communications management group MCI has appointed
Meeting Professionals International (MPI) as its preferred education content and
training provider for the MCI Institute.
The group says MPI’s extensive
meetings management knowledge provides “a strong fit to meet the demands of
MCI’s worldwide talent development strategy”.
The MCI Institute, which coaches personnel on how to manage and service teams, clients, and suppliers, will promote a joint initiative with MPI to offer the first certificate programmes in meetings management in summer 2010.
Selected MCI
professionals will become MPI accredited trainers and deliver MPI certificate
workshops in-house.
MCI Group CEO, Sebastien Tondeur, says: “We value
MPI’s commitment in establishing a body of knowledge, to define a global and
transferable standard for our industry. This partnership will represent a vital
component in developing our staff which directly impacts the success of our
clients.”
MPI’s chief development officer, Didier Scaillet, says MPI is “looking forward to providing MCI with the necessary know how and competencies to help the organisation meet the needs of a highly demanding market”.
