Sticky Wicket, the seven-a-side cricket competition for the events industry takes place 28 July at Regents Park.
The event, organised by a dedicated team of event industry professionals, is to raise money for children’s charity The Lord’s Taverners.
The teams battling it out for the Sticky Wicket trophy this year include Aztec, Clarion Events, Early Action Group, Event Advantage Solutions, Excel London, Fresh RM, The NEC Birmingham, Ocean Media Group and UBM Live.
One of the prizes in this year’s fundraising auction is four tickets to see Katie Melua in concert, including a meet and greet with the lady herself backstage and a signed copy of each of her four albums.
Play starts at 11am and will finish at 5.30pm with the final. A raffle and the auction will take place at 5pm. There will also be a sprinkling of celebrities from the world of sport and entertainment in attendance whom represent The Lord’s Taverners.
The event industry raised £16,000 for the charity at last year’s Sticky Wicket cricket tournament.
