Malmaison breaks out of hotel mould with launch of Oxford ‘A Wing’

The Malmaison Oxford has announced that the prison-turned-hotel’s ‘A Wing’ can now be exclusively hired for corporate and private events.

A Wing boasts unique events space within the hotel, including the Atrium and 38 double bedrooms, each converted from three adjoining former cells. With a capacity of 120, the space is bookable for corporate events.

Each room retains the original vaulted ceilings, thick walls and stone cold iron doors, but modern lighting, high quality timber flooring, and bespoke art work give them a modern touch.

Rachael Bird, GM at Malmaison Oxford, says: “We know that event organisers are always looking at how they can make their occasion stand out. The A Wing in Malmaison Oxford, combined with the flawless style and service that you can expect at Malmaison, offers the perfect venue for an event with a difference.”

The hotel is located in the castle quarter of Oxford.
