Education caterer Principals welcomed over 250 staff members and their families to all the fun of the fairground at a special summer party held on 2 September 2017 in a school playground.
Staff and their families were treated by the company to an array of delicious barbecue food, soft drinks, puddings and sweet stalls during the daytime party which took place in the playground of South Avenue School in Sittingbourne, Kent. Guests tucked into home-made burgers, hotdogs, corn on the cob, jacket potatoes and a range of salads at the fairground-themed party. A cake and bake stall, ice-creams, toffee apples, candy floss and pick ‘n’ mix sweets were also provided.
Principals, the education arm of leading caterer, Harbour & Jones, laid on a vast collection of funfair activities for all the guests to enjoy. Attractions included a helter skelter, bouncy castle, go-karts, a face painting station, photo booth and two circus workshop sessions. Guests were also invited to guess the sweets in the jar on one of the many stands. And as a special addition to the day, party band FR took to the stage for a series of musical sets.
The final icing on the cake for the day was an opportunity to ‘soak the boss’ in the stocks, which went down well with the staff.
Nathan Jones, director and co-founder of Harbour & Jones, which owns Principals, comments: “We were delighted with the terrific turn out for our Principals Summer Party. This is the first time we have held such an event within the Harbour & Jones family and we wanted to thank our numerous staff members for their continued hard work and dedication to the business. It was a fantastic way to celebrate the company’s many achievements and successes in 2017. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces enjoy the day with their families and get stuck in with the numerous rides and activities. This memorable event was a great success and truly one of the highlights of our year.”
