London livery hall Glaziers Hall has appointed Andrew Draper as its new head of operations.
The appointment comes as the Grade-II listed venue reopens after a £2m refurbishment.
Formerly of Mayfair’s Lansdowne Club, Draper brings experience from five-star hotels and private members’ clubs. He has 10 years’ experience working in the events industry.
The recent building work at Glaziers Hall has increased floor space of the venue by a third and the livery hall’s events team is already reporting an increase in volume of bookings from companies looking to take advantage of the expanded spaces, including brand-new basement space and luxury rooms overlooking the river.
Glaziers Hall events clients have included Amazon, as well as high-profile London Fashion Week shows.
Draper commented: “I’m delighted to be joining the Glaziers Hall team at an exciting time in its history. I’m looking forward to supporting the business and ensuring the smooth running of its wide range of events. I’ve had the privilege of working with some exceptional venues, but the prestige of Glaziers Hall and the location on London Bridge combine to make this my most exciting venture so far.”
