Bournemouth International Centre, which claims to be the south coast’s largest venue for conferences, exhibitions, entertainment and sporting events, has completed a major connectivity upgrade to enhance its services.
Venue operator BH Live partnered with WiFi SPARK to design, install and implement a full enterprise grade network with total Wi-Fi and wired coverage throughout. Free public Wi-Fi is also available.
A User Experience Portal (UEP) offers client marketing opt-ins and personalisation. The solution also applies content filtering and a flexible and robust platform to meet the diverse connectivity requirements of clients.
“Bournemouth International Centre holds many high profile conferences, events and concerts that require complex broadcast and streaming configurations,” says Pat Coyne, director of venues and events.
“This improved connectivity has significantly enhanced the venue’s tech capabilities and provides our clients with the confidence that we can deliver fast and reliable connections.” Coyne did not disclose how much had been invested in the upgrade work.
This latest investment follows work to fit Solar PV panels to generate power and LED lighting replacement to reduce energy consumption.
BIC has also achieved a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for a third year running.
Coyne told CN the award was “thanks to consistently high reviews from visitors. Listening to feedback shapes our improvement programme and how we do things for a better delegate, visitor and client experience – it’s great to read so much positive feedback and celebrate this with the team.
“Our sister venues, Bournemouth Pavilion, which is often utilised in conjunction with events at BIC, and ALTITUDE High Ropes Adventure, which is used for teambuilding events and networking, have also each been awarded a 2017 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.”
