Investment puts Lancashire’s Barton Grange Hotel in bloom for events

In the past three years Lancashire’s Barton Grange Hotel has spent £670k upgrading its bedrooms, corridors and main events space – the Barton Suite. Now the owners have added a further £250 000 for more refurbishment work.

Event planners and business event organisers have a newly landscaped ‘wedding’ garden to make use of for up to 200 people for private parties or corporate cocktail evenings. The garden can also host a marquee seating 240 people.

General manager Daniel Rich says the next step is to expand the hotel’s leisure offering, with the addition of a spa treatment services to its current indoor pool and gym.

“The final stages of the changes are about ensuring that the hotel is very much the ‘go to’ destination for event organisers, wedding couples and leisure visitors to the local area,” Rich said.

“The opening of our leisure club’s spa services will give us scope to expand our customer base even further. It will help us offer a greater service to our wedding couples and corporate clients looking for incentive breaks and bespoke ‘away-days’.”

Rich also reported a growth in the venue’s events business of 20%, with average room rates up by 10% on last year.
