Conferences-UK has re-signed its agreement to continue supporting the corporate hospitality function at the Etihad Stadium, home to Manchester City Football Club. The announcement marks a decade-long partnership.
The company, one of the UK’s leading venue finding agencies, said that following a record sponsorship agreement between MCFC and Etihad Airways in 2011, which saw City’s ground renamed Etihad Stadium, the venue has grown into a world-class sporting, music and business destination.
Simon Thompson, director of Conferences-UK, commented: “The Etihad Stadium already has extensive and versatile facilities, and the continued redevelopment means that conference and event opportunities are vast. It has been a pleasure working with the team and their catering and hospitality partners, Fabulous Fan Fayre (F3), and we hope to continue working together to offer flexible packages which enable the stadium to meet all requirements.”
Etihad Stadium boasts 14 high quality finished purpose-built suites, 66 executive boxes and the capacity for 1500 delegates. These facilities can adapt to host all types of events, including 1:1 interviews, meetings, training days, conferences, exhibitions and corporate awards.
The latest redevelopment plans, which will further enhance the stadium’s hospitality function, are already underway, with the installation of a glass tunnel creating a brand new and unique corporate hospitality area.
Tony Shotton, business development manager at F3, the hospitality and catering partners for Etihad Stadium, added: “Our partnership with Conferences-UK has been a fruitful one and we are delighted to extend our relationship into a second decade.
“When the absolute quality of our unique spaces combine with our ability to provide a stunning food and beverage offering, sourced the best seasonal produce from local farmers and producers, it provides the perfect conditions for us to see a continuation in the growth in enquiries from Conferences-UK who are a valued partner and offer an excellent service to their clients.”
