The International Centre (TIC), Telford, has appointed three new event managers as the Shropshire venue looks to bolster its team in response to the requirements of a growing client base.
Jade Lawley and Jenny O’Sullivan are both new additions to the team, while Emma Welch returns to the venue, where she had previously worked as an event manager.
Working alongside the venue’s operational teams, all three will be charged with ensuring smooth delivery of client events during the planning, execution and post-event phases. All will report directly to operations director, Diane Austin.
Lawley brings extensive experience, having previously worked at Wolverhampton Racecourse and subsequently as events coordinator at Shropshire’s Weston Park.
After studying event management at the University of Gloucestershire, which included a year’s internship with Silverstone Hospitality, O’Sullivan began her events career with the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). She was also part of the stage management team when Glasgow hosted the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
TIC Telford is part of the family-run Southwater Event Group. The venue, which opened in 1987, has benefited from £37m investment in recent years.
