Farnborough International’s Zoccali starts term as ILEA UK president

Carlo Zoccali, account director at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, has officially taken over as president of the International Live Events Association (ILEA) UK chapter.

Zoccali picks up the baton from the association’s outgoing president, Alistair Turner.

Zoccali, previously with Arsenal FC at The Emirates, joined Farnborough International to drive sales for the new Hall 1 exhibition and conference centre, which is currently under construction at Farnborough. When complete, the FIECC will be the third largest venue in the South East. He notes the key objectives for ILEA UK in 2017/18 are to bring the international chapters closer together, grow membership and engage the next generation of those involved in the live event industry.

“It has been quite a year joining both Farnborough International and becoming president of ILEA UK. Both organisations support the work of the events business and I’m glad to be part of teams which give something back to our industry,” Zoccali says.
