BCD Meetings & Events teams up with Tobacco Dock

Tobacco Dock has partnered with BCD Meetings & Events to streamline and manage accommodation requirements for guests and crew visiting the landmark event space.

The agreement will give delegates, guests and event crew access to the local lodging inventory and full London accommodation options at preferred rates. The new accommodation service will encompass full rooming allocations for large-scale events through to ad hoc bedroom requirements for smaller events. In addition to significant cost savings, the outsourced service will give greater management information and accountability and save significant time for organisers and the venue’s management team.

BCD Meetings & Events, a global leader in events and accommodation management, is undertaking a three-year housing strategy designed to significantly increase volume of bookings. In the first year results have been very positive with over 100 exhibitions in the UK and overseas and three venues signed up already.

Jonathan Read, commercial director at Tobacco Dock, comments, “As we continue to win larger multi-day events, we are responding to a demand from organisers to have readily available accommodation that can be used by delegates, visitors and the events crew alike. BCD M&E and Zibrant have an excellent reputation and the same outlook as our team; to innovate, to improve the customer journey, and to use data analytics and reporting to the benefit of future business planning.”

Anthony Coyle-Dowling, senior director for housing, BCD Meetings & Events said “As a market leading accommodation provider, we are looking forward to playing a key part in the evolution of Tobacco Dock’s business by implementing a solution that will drive dividends for guests, event organisers and the Tobacco Dock team alike.”
