RIBA Venues partners with tech giant Panasonic

RIBA Venues has partnered with Panasonic to upgrade its AV offering in response to the increasing need for digital content at events. The upgrade will include two new installs, as part of a phased project, and will enhance RIBA’s reputation as a progressive and modern venue.

The first install is situated in the main entrance of RIBA and consists of one 98-inch 4K Resolution Landscape Screen and two 65-inch Full HD Portrait Displays, which are mounted either side of the staircase. Event organisers can use all three Panasonic screens to showcase company logos, presentations and other marketing material relating to their meeting or event. The screens will also be used to display up-to-date information for visitors regarding events and exhibitions within the RIBA organisation.

RIBA is also now able to offer clients upgraded large-scale projection equipment. The new large-scale projector, which is situated in RIBA’s principal conference space the 400 capacities Jarvis Auditorium – is of higher-resolution, brighter and easier to maintain. The projector will enhance the delivery of digital content at meetings and events as it uses two powerful solid-state laser light sources to ensure true accuracy of colour representation for HDTV projection, and ensures no image deterioration over time.

The new projector also includes a unique simulation mode, which has been developed with the medical profession in mind, allowing a film-like resolution on x-ray images, making them clearer to view at medical conferences and lectures. Geometric adjustment is also included, enabling the image to be manipulated onto different shaped screens such as spherical and cylinder.

Moya Maxwell, head of venues at RIBA, comments: “At RIBA we are dedicated to providing our clients with a bespoke and personalised service that guarantees a successful event. With today’s meetings and events featuring an increasing level of digital content it is essential that we offer the most up-to-date and versatile AV facilities to ensure a seamless event experience. Our partnership with Panasonic means we continue to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to the latest AV advancements, while maintaining our exacting standards in event delivery.”
