Marc Webster rejoins Whittlebury as commercial director

Recently united Whittlebury Park and Whittlebury Hall & Spa has reappointed Marc Webster as commercial directormoves to strengthen its position as a MICE destination.

Reporting directly to managing director Charles Sargeant, Webster, a highly experienced commercial director who was Whittlebury’s group sales director for four years until 2008, again leads the commercial team.

Webster was most recently head of sales at Jurys Inn where, over the last six years, he worked across a portfolio of 42 properties.

Prior to that, he was director of regional sales across 21 properties with QHotels and held roles with the Metropole Hotel Group, now owned by Hilton, as well as Thomas Cook and the Paramount Hotel Group where he specialised in conferences and events.

Welcoming Webster back to the Northamptonshire estate, Sargeant said: “Marc has always had strong ties to the estate from both a professional and personal perspective, as he even married here in 2004.

“Marc joins at a really exciting period of growth and expansion. During his four successful years at Whittlebury Hall Marc recognised the importance – and the potential – of having a fully integrated business across the whole estate.  His long-held ambition was to return to the estate upon its integration so it’s fantastic that re-joins to lead our commercial team.”

Recently united Whittlebury Hall and Whittlebury Park are situated in hundreds of acres of parkland and a 10-minute drive from junction 15a of the M1 and 20 minutes from central Milton Keynes.

Whittlebury offers a 254-bedroom four-star hotel, conference and training centre, a 2 AA Rosette restaurant, meetings and events facilities catering for up to 3,000 delegates as well as a spa and Championship golf facilities.

Whittlebury also holds an AIM Gold accreditation.
