East of England Arena announces discount fare scheme with Virgin Trains

The East of England Arena and Events Centre has announced a partnership with Virgin Trains to provide discounted rail travel for passengers travelling to visit exhibitions and conferences at the Arena.

The offer, which is scheduled to go live towards the end of this year, will see visitors to events at the East of England Arena enjoying up to 30 per cent off their advance purchase fares on Virgin Trains services to Peterborough. The offer will be managed through a digital platform, in a similar way to retail discount codes.

Joshua Ogunji, Virgin Trains’ regional commercial manager for the South, said: “We are very pleased to be working with the East of England Arena and Conference Centre to make Virgin the first choice for visitors travelling to the Arena.

“We feel the partnership will support both our and the Arena’s growth aspirations, while importantly providing a step change in the travel experience visitors currently get. We see this partnership as one for the long term and look forward to the journey ahead.”

Dean Rees, business development manager, East of England Arena and Events Centre added: “I am delighted to have agreed this partnership with Virgin Trains. It will mean significant cost savings for our exhibition visitors and conference delegates, especially those making long journeys to the Arena.

“The generous discounts being offered by Virgin Trains will undoubtedly help to attract visitors, and I believe many will discover that rail is the quickest, safest and most comfortable way to reach the Arena.”
