Following Soaring Worldwide PR dropping out of the tender process for The Meetings Show PR contract, hospitality marketing and PR agency Custard Communications has been appointed by show organiser Centaur ahead of the show’s sixth edition in 2018. No firm dates have yet been announced for the 2018 show, however.
The PR appointment process took four months, the Woking-based agency said, adding that it intended to commence work to raise the profile of the three-day event on 1 July 2017.
Reporting directly to Centaur Media’s marketing manager, Chloe Modaberi, and the show’s event director, Steve Knight, during the next 12 months Custard says it will contribute to the direction of the annual show that takes place at Olympia, as well as contributing to increasing visitor numbers.
Modaberi said: “Custard Communications was the stand-out agency for us. We were extremely impressed with the creativity of their strategic plans as the ideas literally jumped off of the page at us.”
Custard’s contract with The Meetings Show follows other recent client wins this year, including the Malvern Hills retreat The Cottage in the Wood and The Petersham Hotel in Richmond.
