Brief2Event on course for 22% rise in turnover

Wiltshire-based booking agency and venue finder Brief2Event says it is on target to increase its turnover by 22% in 2017.

In 2016, the agency says it helped place £4.5m of client business across venues and hotels. Six months into Brief2Event’s 2017 financial year, the agency says it has already surpassed that figure, and is forecasting £5.5m in business across its leisure, venue, hotel and events departments by the end of the year.

To support the extra business, the agency has announced a number of changes to its staff. Sezanne Brown has recently joined the company as a venue finder, from her role as a meeting, events and hotel consultant as part of the Uniglobe Group.

Lizzie Thomas will be joining the live events team from the leisure team, and event management graduate Zara Moradi has joined the venue finding team.

Rachel Thorp joined Brief2Event last November as head of live events from WMP Creative, to extend the agency’s event management capability.

Brief2Event, which has been active in the meetings, events, accommodation and venue-finding business since 2005, has expanded to work with clients in the retail, technology and association markets, with clients including Miele, Samsung and The IET.

Guy Mason, director at Brief2Event Solutions (pictured), says: “We are delighted with these results and our current progress…and are very much looking forward to the future, where we’ll be focusing on building relationships and extending our own brand of personal service to the market.”
