Tewkesbury Park’s £3m Conference Suite on course for July completion

On course for a July completion, Tewkesbury Park’s new events suite – The Cotswolds Suite is being created specifically for the conference market.

With its floor-to-ceiling glass façade, the Cotswold Suite costing £3m, will have views across 163 acres of undulating parkland, commanding views of the Gloucestershire countryside and the Severn Valley.

Accommodating up to 250 guests, the suite can be subdivided into three equal sections, The Broadway Suite, adjacent to the golf practice green; The Burford Suite, the middle room and The Bibury Suite, adjoining a brand new bar and lounge area – The Berkeley Lounge, Bar and Terrace.

A wood-fired pizza bar is a new addition too. Located on the terrace immediately outside the Cotswold Suite, the pizza bar will provide guests with a place to grab a pizza and a crisp glass of wine.

Furthermore, with summer, providing stunning sunsets across the Gloucestershire countryside and Malvern Hills, the pizza bar and terrace will be a perfect corner to escape with a sundowner and a bite to eat, while soaking up the views.

Patrick Jones, general manager, said: “We are thrilled with the results, the hotel has undergone a complete renaissance and has been brought back to the magnificent property it once was, and now with the addition of the Cotswold Suite, we are the perfect events venue. Not only are we a great leisure hotel, with our 18-hole golf course and leisure club, but with the investment that has been poured into our meeting facilities, coupled with our superb location, logistically we are perfect for the corporate user.”

The completion of the Cotswold Suite brings the total investment of the hotel up to £8m. This follows last year’s extensive renovation, which resulted in the addition of nine luxury historic suites, two spa rooms, two meeting rooms, an Orangery and a Cocktail Lounge. The guestrooms main foyer and reception were all completely refurbished.

Childs+Sulzmann Architects were appointed to design the facility as part of the £3 million renovation project.

Tewkesbury Park has an 18-hole par 73 parkland golf course, academy course, practice range, putting green, pro shop and squash and tennis courts. A fully-equipped Leisure Club has a gym, indoor swimming pool sauna and steam room.

Tewkesbury Park is five minutes from M5 junction nine, on the doorstep of Tewkesbury and within easy reach of Cheltenham, Gloucester and Worcester.
