Taste of Flanders at Trinity House

VISITFLANDERS recently hosted 60 MICE buyers – a mixture of corporates, associations and agencies – at an event at Trinity House on the banks of The Thames.

The evening offered a taste of Flanders with samples of young creativity and talent in the region’s food and drink sector. Two of its leading young chefs – Michael Yates from the Sail & Anchor restaurant in Antwerp, and Sam D’Huyetter from Brasserie Boulevard in Ghent, wowed guests with their gastronomic creations.

They were joined by chocolatier Pieter Vaes from The Cacao Project in Mechelen.

The food was washed down by some of the country’s best craft beers, brought along by brewer Jef Janssens of Hof ten Dormaal brewery in Leuven.

Radisson Blu/Radisson Red Brussels, Martin’s Hotels, Van De Valk Hotel Brussels Airport and Eurostar were some of the supplier partners on show and three lucky guests won trips for two to each of the hotels, to experience Flanders for themselves.
