New BLT to show a lead at Top Banana

Stourbridge and London-based agency Top Banana has created a new Banana Leadership Team (BLT), designed to deliver faster decision-making across the business and to take full advantage of the skills and expertise of the individuals in the team to support the company’s growth plans.

Co-founders Nick Terry (MD) and Richard Bridge (creative director) are joined on the BLT by client services directors (CSD) Jemma Peers, Jez Audus, Jade Ball and Jill McKinnon, together with client engagement director Huw Wigley and financial director Jane Bradley.

Terry said of the changes: “Rich and I have been driving the business together for 18 years. Our FD joined the board back in 2014, but this is the next generation of leaders, so it’s important to get their view and make sure our leadership team reflects the organisation as a whole.”

Bridge added: “We’ve brought in some real talent through our recent recruitment, so it’s great to tap into that talent to help us move the business forward. We’re still looking to take on account managers in both offices so if you’re a top notch production supremo, we’d love to hear from you!”

One recent new appointment is Marc Hazelden, who joined Top Banana as an account director in March, bringing a host of event experience in the automotive, retail, finance, technology and food and drink sectors.

Recent promotions at the agency include: Jade Langston (who originally joined back in 2009 as a production assistant) and Mark Barton, who have both been promoted to account director roles. Megan Grant becomes a senior account manager and Charlotte Mackie is now an account manager.

Another staff development story is Alex Hatton, who originally spent a year at Top Banana as part of his university degree. Hatton re-joins in the promoted role of account executive, having graduated.
