In this month’s issue CN heads to the Midlands to learn more about arrangeMY, an agency that says their USP is the ability to cater for huge multinationals with the care and attention of a small travel agent or venue finding agency. The agency employs 58 people across its offices and reports annual turnover of £25m, so they must be doing something right.

We spoke to Nick Scott, managing director, to learn more.

Can you outline what arrangeMY offers?

arrangeMY is recognised as one of the largest privately owned integrated business travel, venue finding and event management agencies in the UK.

While our range of services, and the technology provided, has changed since our conception, the primary objective of providing services that are focused towards meeting the needs of our customers remains the same. 

We pride ourselves on our culture where customer service is our top priority and believe that this service has become a by-word for excellence within the travel industry. This service is coupled with the highest level of investment in systems, process and compliance, ensuring that we continue to remain at the forefront of Information Technology.

Can you name some of your clients and explain how they came to choose you?

Our client base is built upon long-standing relationships, based on trust and care. We have been assisting well-known brand names such as JLR and Hewlett Packard for over 15 years, while retaining other long standing clients such as Halfords following recent tenders. We continue to grow our portfolio of clients with recent new contract wins including Cancer Research UK.

How old is the agency, and can you explain the story of its growth?

arrangeMY began trading in 1990, set up by chairman Simon Scott. Originally called BookOTel, we celebrated our 25th anniversary in 2015 by announcing a full rebrand to arrangeMY.

We believe arrangeMY enhances our position in the market place as a complete ‘one stop shop’ for business travel, including accommodation, venue finding, and events management and travel assistance.

I am the majority shareholder and have a long-term business plan based on carefully managed growth adhering to our values and culture. We see no merger, takeover or ownership change in either the short, medium or long term. Our future ambition is to continue our recent managed sales growth at a level never higher than 10% per year.

Who is your ideal client?

We see our ideal client as predominantly UK-based with a travel/events spend not exceeding £2.5m. arrangeMY seeks to work with people who share our values of teamwork, respect, integrity, care, and quality, working to forge a long-term relationship as their trusted travel partner.
