Only 15.5% of event bookers check if venues are available when booking, figures show

Latest research carried out by Lane End Conference Centre, a facility that is available for private hire in Buckinghamshire, has revealed that only 15.57% of event bookers ask if a venue is available for exclusive use when making an enquiry. The research, which was carried out using a sample of 122 event professionals, revealed that 7.38% of bookers said that they assumed that it was not at all possible, with 48.36% confirming that they ask occasionally, depending on the type of event and their requirements.

Lane End Conference Centre, located close to London, has recently completed a £2.5m investment programme into its facilities, which boasts upgraded bedrooms, refurbished meeting facilities with installation of a direct fibre optic link for Grade A+ broadband, a brand new on-site leisure centre and a brand-new reception building which gives a central focus for the venue.

“Lane End Conference Centre is a unique and versatile venue which proves popular with groups that require exclusive use,” said Heni Fourie, director of sales and marketing at Lane End. “Meetings and training can often be quite taxing on delegates so more and more businesses are looking for something a little different to achieve greater focus, engagement and interaction. Our set-up at Lane End means we tick the boxes and also provide delegates and attendees with a place to network and engage with each other away from work in areas such as The Cedar Club.”

The venue is a residential conference centre set in 26 acres of land in the Chiltern Hills with rail links to London Marylebone and a 30-minute drive to London Heathrow or just under an hour to Luton Airport.
