The International Live Events Association (ILEA) UK Chapter will this month address the health and wellness of event professionals as part of the its monthly inspiration-led events programme. The event on 18 April, follows increasing concern among the association’s members about the growing pressure event professionals are facing alongside their struggles to find work life balance and to seek healthier lifestyles.
The chapter has invited leading health specialists to talk to members and guests. The line-up includes Hannah Luffman from Unicorn Events and Mark Maher from Boulevard Events, who will talk about their own experiences, and ways in which we can all maintain a state of wellbeing. Additionally, the meeting will present movement inspired Personal Trainer, Patrick Moore Jones of Mojo Wellbeing, who will share a series of relaxation techniques.
“The events industry is a regular and rising fixture in the Top 5 most stressful jobs line-up,” comments Alistair Turner, president, ILEA UK chapter. “Increased pressure on budgets and results means increased time restraints, and less time for personal or business reward. It all adds up to a toxic lifestyle for many event professionals.”
The evening session will take place at the Park Village Studios in Camden, Tuesday 18 April, and will be supported with a special wellness menu from Boulevard Events, and energising mocktails from Exquisite Cocktails.
