Over three-quarters of business travellers say they value cash rewards over anything else. The result comes from a recent Wanup independent loyalty club survey of 1,000 people, 600 of whom travelled for their business.
Wanup is a new hotel loyalty hub and its survey found that 78% of business travellers are enrolled in a hotel loyalty scheme, compared with just 28% of the general population.
Value for money and location beat design and style when it comes to selecting a hotel, with more than two-thirds of business travellers identifying these elements as their top priority proving convenience is king.
Almost half of frequent business travellers admit to cheekily using their partner’s loyalty scheme points without their knowledge, the survey revealed, and more than 65% said they raided the hotel breakfast buffet for lunch items.
Two-thirds of the frequent business travellers said that warm and welcoming staff was the most important thing about a hotel experience for them.
