International Confex’s first morning of keynote sessions, 1 March, was rounded off with a packed presentation by hotelier and presenter, Alex Polizzi from TV’s The Hotel Inspector.
Polizzi highlighted the need for hotels to remain honest with the personal touch. She said: “Now there is an unending increase in travel and proliferation of choice. It’s about ensuring we get all the basics right while also embracing all the advantages that technology has to offer us. Technology serves hospitality and is not its master.”
The audience heard Polizzi talk through her extensive experiences within the hotel industry and offered inspirational advice about engaging with your customers, person-to-person.
“What we all want are experiences – we’ve got enough ‘things’. We don’t want to over promise and under deliver. Customer experience will be the biggest competitor differentiator in coming years,” she added.
