PVE ‘fan club’ growing with new appointments

Sports activation agency Provision Events (PVE), has taken on two new members of staff in the wake of a period of growth.

The company provides ‘fan zone’ experiences at major sporting occasions and its client list in the world of golf includes Callaway, the European Tour, the PGA Tour, the R&A and TaylorMade.

PVE expects to provide its 1,000th event during 2017.

Finn McGirr (pictured) and Taro Rowe are the two new event manager hires, having impressed while working on a freelance basis.

The company is UK-based but has storage in the USA and UAE.

Head of sales and business development Simon Jones says: “With the amount of events we are doing and what is coming up [our business] warrants two new more event managers.
We will also be out-sourcing work as well as demand for our services is always growing.”

Jones himself was recruited six months ago by Nick Clemens and Konrad Brochocki, who started the company 13 years ago with three inflatable golf nets. They and their 10 full-time staff now deliver needs for the Ryder Cup and most of the PGA Tour events with interactive golf simulators and fan zone experiences.

McGirr, 22, has a first-class degree in sports science and was named the exhibition master at Venturefest Oxford. He worked for PVE as a freelance on their rugby events.

“I’m incredibly excited about joining Provision and can’t wait to start working on the wide variety of global events we have coming up over the next few years,” he adds.

Rugby fan Rowe, 23, gained a strength and conditioning science degree and interned as a strength and conditioning coach at London Wasps. “I’m eager to get myself stuck in,” he says.

“Taro and Finn know how we do things and they are well trained in what we do and are ready to go – they are both seamless appointments,” says Jones.
