Event caterer Lime Venue Portfolio has confirmed the addition of two new venues to its leisure venue division, expanding the group to over 90 unusual venues across the UK. Edgbaston Priory Club and Twycross Zoo join the portfolio this month, adding to the group’s options in the Midlands.
Twycross Zoo offers teambuilding, incentive and conference options. Situated in the Warwickshire countryside, the venue also has good access to and from Birmingham, Nottingham and London.
Edgbaston Priory Club is a private racquets and leisure club, home to the pre-Wimbledon tournament for the world’s top female tennis players, the Aegon Classic Birmingham, and offers premium spaces set in an active, indoor and outdoor environment.
“These two new venues underline the breadth of options in the unusual venue market and the growing demand we are seeing for new and exciting places,” says LVP sales director Jo Austin. “We’re really increasing our footprint in the Midlands, but also showing how we can support specialist attractions like zoos as well as more private venues such as member clubs.”
Austin adds: “As demand increases, more unique and unusual venues are opening their doors to meetings and events business. More choice is great for organisers, however, with increased choice, event buyers need to be confident that the venues they use can deliver. This is an area where our portfolio has a clear advantage.”
The announcement of the two venues follows on from the addition to the portfolio of Aston Villa, last month. LVP is also promising some fresh insight into the unique and unusual venue market through a sector report out later this month.
