Malmaison Hotel du Vin invests in upgrading Wi-Fi across 33 properties

Malmaison Hotel du Vin has announced what it describes as “a significant investment” into upgrading its wireless network infrastructure.

The group has hired Airangel to manage the upgrade, with a brief to get guests online quickly and with the minimum amount of effort. Faster connection and more reliable Wi-Fi coverage are promised to ensure less dropout and downtime.

Management expects the updated offering to improve connectivity throughout the group’s 33 hotels.

The investment programme began in January 2017 and, so far, 19 properties have undergone a complete upgrade of their wireless offering with the remaining 14 hotels expected to be completed by the end of July.

Iain Cowieson, IT director at Malmaison Hotel du Vin said: “Our focus has always been on delivering the very best experience for our guests and we believe that connectivity is an important aspect of this. Extending our free Wi-Fi service has enabled us to provide a more seamless and user friendly experience for our guests, whilst helping them to stay connected with their colleagues, friends and family.”

Dean Wilkinson CEO at Airangel, added: “Malmaison was one of our first customers and we are very proud to have been their chosen partner for guest Wi-Fi solutions over the last decade.”
