Leasowe Castle on the Wirral has unveiled a new £3m rebrand and refurbishment.
The changes reflect the 16th century castle’s heritage, while paying homage to the area’s iconic resident rare bird breed, the oystercatcher.
Interior revamps have been carried out throughout the property’s 47 bedrooms, in-house restaurant Brasserie 1593 and Knights Cocktail Bar.
Leasowe Castle GM Mike Dewey said: “As part of the developments, our core focus will now put an increased emphasis on being a glorious destination for dining and drinking, private occasions and corporate events.”
The castle was acquired by Bupa Gandhi in May 2015. He added: “We have shaped a unique brand persona that talks directly to our guests whether they be staying with us, calling in for dinner, unwinding with after-work drinks, creating their very own fairy-tale wedding, hosting a corporate occasion with a difference or de-stressing with a round of golf.”
He continued: “As a property that has stood proudly on the Wirral Peninsula since 1593, it was important that the branding and revamp complimented the castle’s lasting legacy that is so very known and respected on both a local and national scale.”
