Lancaster Conferences has signed up for the Venues of Excellence consortium, bringing the number of venues in the portfolio’s membership to 34.

This university campus-based venue is surrounded by 360 acres of parkland and offers conferencing for up to 800 delegates. The three key venues are: Green Lane Conference Centre, Forrest Hills and The Great Hall.

Green Lane Conference Centre is a purpose-built venue offering 14 meeting rooms for up to 100 delegates, while

Forest Hills is the newest venue at Lancaster Conferences and offers two meetings rooms, an 11-hole golf course and a four-acre fishing lake.

The Great Hall is part of the main University building and seats up to 800 delegates.

Mandy Jennings, sales director for Venues of Excellence, says: “We are delighted to welcome Lancaster Conferences as the 34th member venue of Venues of Excellence.”

The university is five minutes from Junction 33 of the M6.

Chris Jarvis, business development manager at Lancaster Conferences adds: “We are looking to increase our presence in the meetings market and felt that Venues of Excellence offered us the opportunity to project our venues as a quality product offering excellence in meeting facilities. We also felt membership would allow us to attend a number of trade shows and exhibitions at a shared reduced cost and allow us sales and marketing opportunities that would be difficult to do as an individual unit on a limited budget.”

Jarivs notes the venue received four leads in the first two weeks of membership.
