Global event agency and supplier GL events has secured an agreement with Lancashire County Cricket Club to extend its partnership for a further three years.
The company supplies stadium seating that increases the ground’s capacity by up to 5,588 seats, and will do so until 2019 as the club continues to grow its match-day audiences.
The partnership began in 2014, and sees GL events creating high quality seating grandstands, as well as platforms for disabled spectators, that not only extend the capacity of the ground, but also create additional infrastructure that allows spectators closer access to facilities and conveniences.
This latest partnership is one of a series of contracts won and retained by GL events’ seating and stadia team. The business already works with Aegon Tennis, Royal Ascot, Donnington Race Circuit and the Royal International Air Tattoo.
“We like working with GL events, the product is the best around and we have got to know the team there really well,” said Anthony Mundy, Lancashire County Cricket Club’s operations director. “We’re looking forward to working with them for the next few years at least.”
“This is another great partnership for us and one that we’re exceptionally proud to have,” added GL events MD Scott Jameson.
