BCD Meetings & Events steps up and bolsters Life Sciences team

International agency BCD Meetings & Events has bolstered its Life Sciences team in the UK with the recruitment of Michelle Pullen (pictured) and Rachael Thomas.

The appointments come as BCD Meetings & Events expands into new territories following a series of acquisitions.

The new appointments in the Maidenhead office see Pullen join as senior project manager and Thomas as project executive.

Pullen has a background in congress management, having worked client side for Pfizer and Genzyme, as well as the medical communications agency, 7.4 Limited, while Thomas has experience in the live event sector having worked at Evolution International and Grass Roots.

Recent global account wins and expansion of the agency’s Life Sciences team have created additional employment opportunities in the Maidenhead and Faversham offices.

Fay Sharpe, vice-president BCD Meetings & Events, said: “Michelle and Rachael’s appointments mark an exciting time of expansion for us as we assert our authority in the Life Sciences sector. Their knowledge of the market coupled with a strong business pipeline means that we are set for additional new business wins and greater account penetration with our existing clients. These are exhilarating times as we step up onto the global platform with our parent company BCD Group.”
