Worcester-based booking agency arrangeMY staff have voted to support the local St Richard’s Hospice as their chosen charity of the year, raising money at a series of events throughout 2017.
The agency’s staff will organise activities to raise funds for the hospice and started with a mini venue expo at Berkeley Business Park, which involved 10 local venues and raised an initial £400.
Tricia Cavell, fundraising director at St Richard’s Hospice, commented: “We are delighted to have been chosen as arrangeMY’s charity of the year and are thrilled that the staff voted to support the hospice.
“Our care for patients and their loved ones is free and is available for however long it’s needed, but we can only do this with the amazing support we receive from our community and companies like arrangeMY.”
arrangeMY chief executive Simon Scott, added: “It’s very important that staff are able to have their say on which charity they would like to support each year. St Richard’s Hospice provide free care and support to over 2,500 patients and family members, as well as directly helping two members of our own team in the past year.”
arrangeMY has been trading as an independent business travel and event management agency since 1990 and employs 60 staff at its head office in Worcester.
