VolksWorld returns to Sandown Park for 25th year

The Jockey Club’s Sandown Park Racecourse in Esher, Surrey, will play host to Europe’s largest classic Volkswagen show, VolksWorld, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary at the venue from 25-26 March 2017.

Over the duration of the weekend, VolksWorld typically attracts more than 16,000 people from all over the UK and overseas, many of who will use their campervans and tents to camp on the site.

Adrian Vaughan, VolksWorld organiser, said: “We always bring VolksWorld back to Sandown Park Racecourse and have worked with them now for 25 years. The team are so accommodating and the space is flexible enough to bring every element of the show together, from vehicles to enthusiast-clubs, stalls and attractions.”

Utilising more than 80% of the Sandown Park Site, VolksWorld takes on a festival feel with sale stands, clubs, refreshment stalls, music, entertainment and the iconic Volkswagen Campervan display taking centre stage. An area of the site is a dedicated ‘Kids-Space’ which includes interactive games, such as a Campervan Scalextric-style race.

Tracy Rusbridge, regional business development executive – exhibitions – Jockey Club, London, said: “We have a strong contingent for returning exhibitions and VolksWorld is one of our longest standing clients; it’s an honour to host their milestone show. The VolksWorld Show is a perfect example of how our team offer a consultative approach and listen to a client’s needs then use their expertise on the versatile space at Sandown Park to ensure the event works at its best.”
