Ronnie Scott’s gets involved in all that Advertising Week Europe jazz

Advertising Week, the world’s largest annual gathering of advertising, marketing, media and technology industry leaders, returns to London at the end of March, with a list of events spread across the capital.

The 2016 edition of Advertising Week Europe (AWE) attracted 10,000 delegates and 700 speakers from across the advertising and creative industries.

The fifth, 2017, edition’s highlights include: Lancaster House hosting the 5th anniversary Opening Gala, while Cosmopolitan’s celebration of female talent returns to The Orangery at Kensington Palace

AWE will celebrate the IPA Centenary and extend on-going support of the Duke of York’s ‘Pitch at the Palace’ with a special edition of Pitch focused on Africa, a future Advertising Week destination, on 20 March at St James’s Palace

The Week Live presents ‘The Daily Debate’, promising fiery confrontation around issues including Brexit, the US election, the rise of fake news as a threat to responsible reporting and the increasingly hostile debate between globalism and localism.

Ronnie Scott’s returns as the host of The Week’s Leadership Breakfast Series and three late night events including Vevo’s emerging artists showcase, Media iQ’s live stand-up comedy, and ESI Media hosts the industry-led comedy variety show ‘The Big Mistake 2.0’. Fortnum & Mason’s Culture + Commerce lunch series returns with daily partners including Bauer Media together with WACL, Bing Ads, and Yahoo.

For the first time there is an AWE Marketing Academy Bootcamp, a two-day intensive programme aimed at those 32 and under, while The Week strengthens its footprint across Europe with a Roadshow programme, that includes events in January in Amsterdam, Hamburg, Paris and Stockholm.

Advertising Week Europe director, Rebecca Eaves, said: “It is hugely exciting to be announcing the first details of our fifth anniversary Advertising Week Europe, and we are delighted to be returning to Picturehouse Central. The Town Hall Series will be a fantastic addition to The Week’s thought-leadership agenda and we are pleased the calendar has gone live with more to follow as we get closer to March.”

Advertising Week is in four global destinations, including the 14th edition of Advertising Week in New York City, 25-29 September 2017, the second edition of Advertising Week Asia in Tokyo, 29-May-1 June, 2017 and the premiere edition of Advertising Week LATAM kicking off in Mexico City, 13-16 November, 2017.
