New London events space confirms technology partner

Aztec Event Services has won the contract to provide in-house technical production services at 58VE, a new London event space at 58 Victoria Embankment.

Ahead of the opening, head of venue sales and operations Neil Ormonroyd invited several audio-visual providers to tender for the provision of technical services at the venue, which was awarded to Aztec.

Ormonroyd said: “Everything about 58VE has been designed and built in order to help our clients run great events. But having an amazing space is not enough if we don’t deliver outstanding service and we recognised very early on that we needed excellent partners to help us achieve this. From an early stage of the tender process it became apparent that Aztec share a lot of our values and their desire to deliver consistently high levels of service together with outstanding technical ability really shone through.”

Situated by the Thames close to Blackfriars Rail Station, the event space includes a large, sheltered balcony with views up and down the river facing landmarks such as the London Eye and the Oxo Tower.

The venue boasts a number of versatile rooms that are designed for meetings, conferences and events, catering for anything from a meeting of eight to a launch party of 75 or a conference for up to 180 people.

Technology includes retractable ceiling-mounted projector screens, LED screens, videoconferencing consoles, webcams and fixed ceiling cameras, all of which Aztec will manage. Aztec will also provide supplementary equipment to clients with specific requirements.

Aztec MD John Robson expressed his delight at the partnership, saying: “58VE is a very impressive and much needed event space in this part of London. We are very excited to be part of this new venture and to be expanding Aztec’s reach in the event industry based on our unrivalled reputation as a technical production company. We know that the combination of the right location, the right venue and using the right technology can take an event from ordinary to extraordinary. I have no doubt that, together with the 58VE team, we will deliver many impressive events here. In an area lacking in suitable and affordable event space, I am sure the partnership between Aztec and 58VE will appeal to the most discerning of clients.”
