Get ready, set, glow at Kent Event Centre

Kent Event Centre has announced that it has won the contract to host Glow in the Park – a night-time neon 5km fun run.

Now in its fourth year, Glow in the Park, takes place on 29 April 2017 in the award-winning venue’s 200-acre grounds. Open to everyone, the evening event is expected to attract over 2,500 visitors who will be encouraged to dance, walk, jog or run the 5km course while enjoying light shows, music and six ‘Glow Zones’, which include a Foam Zone, UK Paint Blast Zone and a Time Tunnel.

Steph Olliff, operations manager at Votwo Events who are organising Glow in the Park, said: “We chose the Kent Event Centre because of its fantastic location and facilities. The venue matches all of the criteria we look for such as suitable infrastructure, central location and of course a great traffic-free route for our Glow runners to complete, as well as having room for our start and finish party. There is no other venue in that area that provides everything we need and more and it is a great opportunity to bind Glow in the Park to Kent!”

Ellie Nicholl, event coordinator at Kent Event Centre, added: “Glow in the Park is such an exciting and fun event and we are thrilled to welcome it to Kent Event Centre. Our grounds and facilities are perfect for this sort of event and we are looking forward to seeing Glow in the Park 2017 come to life in April.”
