Birmingham PA networking club launches at Park Regis

What organisers claim as Birmingham’s only forum aimed exclusively at the thriving network of PAs and Executive Assistants in the second city was launched at Park Regis hotel on 15 February.

Supported by the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, The Birmingham PA Forum has been created to help bring together Personal and Executive Assistants from across the region.

With four free-to-attend events being held this year, the forum will enable guests to build their contact bases, hear from inspirational and educational speakers, as well as network with industry peers.

A survey carried out among PAs and Executive Assistants from across the region revealed that 100% would be interested in attending a networking event designed exclusively for their profession. 75% of those questioned were not part of an organisation that connects them with like-minded professionals, while everyone surveyed wanted to expand their network with other Personal and Executive Assistants.

Daniel Skermer (pictured), founder of The Birmingham PA Forum, said: “As a serial networker, I feel passionately about bringing people together. Last year I began researching events that were specifically tailored towards Personal and Executive Assistants and discovered that there weren’t any in the city. The results of the survey that I carried out showed that there was an overwhelming need for a group such as this and The Birmingham PA Forum was born.

“As Birmingham continues to experience growth with new businesses choosing it as their home, the network of professionals in these roles will be key in facilitating that growth. The unsung heroes of the corporate world, Personal and Executive Assistants make the key decisions day in day out, whether it’s organising events or providing vital support to company execs. They are instrumental in the operation of a successful business.”

The Birmingham PA Forum will be held exclusively at the Park Regis hotel, with its first event on 15 with keynote speaker Dawn Adlam, a leading business coach from The Biz Links. She will be providing guests with an insight into social media marketing. The group’s next event will take place on 7 June.

The Office Show takes place at Olympia London, 1-2 March 2017. Click here to register.
