The industry’s most inclusive exhibition, International Confex, will open its doors, 1–2 March 2017, at Olympia London. The show will co-locate with the Event Production Show and *office to become the biggest global gathering of #eventprofs in the UK.
The exhibition launched its #myconfex campaign at the beginning of the year and is again committed to making event professionals the stars of the show in 2017. Organisers have curated an educational programme that will speak to organisers regardless of their level or expertise and create a personalised experience that will give them all the tools, information and relationships that they need to make their event the very best it can be.
Biggest, best and most innovative brands
The #myconfex theme will be reflected on the stands of over 500 businesses and brands that support the event industry every day. The show will be split into multiple areas. Destinations and venues from around the world will lead to event support services; event management companies will lead into event technology. Event theming, branding and marketing will also be represented. The result should be an easily navigable experience for eventprofs that will allow visitors to pre-schedule meetings with businesses. They are not hosted and so have the option to visit the stands they want, when they want.
International Confex will also host the largest conference aimed at event professionals in the UK, with multiple streams curated to spread inspiration to every kind of eventprof. Partners contributing to the content will include the Sustainable Events Summit, AEO, the Association of Association Executives and ILEA.
Also, making up part of the educational programme will be The Sales Conference, in partnership with the AEO, on Day One.
Meanwhile a series of sessions ‘fuelled by ILEA’, will offer sessions designed to bring to life the role of ‘experience’ in growing the events industry’s status in business.
The Association of Association Executives will again partner to deliver the Association Day (2 March). Last year the event saw 400 association buyers in attendance.
The industry’s largest technology exhibition
2017 sees the return of one of the quickest growing features in the show, EventTech 17. The ‘exhibition within an exhibition’ will feature its own education seminar, a ‘Tech Play Room’ and be surrounded by some of the most forward thinking global event tech businesses. The Event Tech Lab will showcase new businesses and products that will dictate the lives of organisers and their delegates for years to come. EventTech 17 will include products including delegate management systems, social media amplification, RFID and NFC audience communication and iBeacons.
The industry’s festival of events
International Confex will once again co-locate with the Event Production Show bringing eventprofs for both indoor business and outdoor events together to share learning. Owners Mash Media will also be encouraging audiences of both shows to visit *office, the PA show, which will also have its own dedicated area with relevant education and the best support services and brands for the PA, EA, Executive Secretary and office management audience.
