Down in the Center Parcs forest investment stirs

Leisure and corporate venue brand Center Parcs, has announced continuing multi-million-pound investment across four of its UK sites.

Woburn Forest in Bedfordshire, the newest addition to a portfolio that includes Elveden Forest, Sherwood Forest and Longleat Forest, will see £11.4m invested in over 100 new lodges constructed by autumn 2017. The news follows Center Parcs’ opening of 48 new Breckland apartments in November at its Elveden Forest site in Suffolk.

For companies booking a teambuilding event, The Drop is a new activity at Action Challenge at Elveden Forest. Delegates can take on the Double Drop Zip Wire, Air Bag Jump, Leap of Faith and Quick Jump at heights of up to 10m.

Developments to the spa at Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire will be completed in early 2017, the company added, including a tree-top sauna.

Center Parcs national account manager Ellie Jones said: “We are continually investing in our accommodation and facilities for corporate and leisure guests. It is important for us to be able to continue our roll out of new lodges to meet demand, and we are dedicated to providing our guests with new and improved facilities for teambuilding, as well as introducing additional dining options.

“We are looking forward to the completion of these projects this year.”
